A Fragile Tomorrow's Dom Kelly Set To Release Debut Solo Album
Features Grammy Award-Winning Guest Artists
PRE-ORDER NOW! MPress Records is excited to announce that our very own Dom Kelly, drummer and vocalist for the Independent Music Award-winning band A Fragile Tomorrow, will release his debut solo album Everything Is Just Enough on April 7, 2017!
With five albums, a handful of Grammy pre-nominations and an Independent Music Award later, Kelly now steps out from behind the drum kit and unveils Everything Is Just Enough. Produced and engineered by his brother and AFT bandmate Brendan Kelly, the songs often echo the cool indie charm of Duncan Sheik while incorporating the sparkling, sinuous harmonies of Simon & Garfunkel. But he had a little assistance too, as Kelly reveals:
“I had wanted to do a solo album for a long time,” Kelly says, “ but my insecurities around songwriting held me back. Finally, I decided to jump into it, and I called all the friends I ever wanted to record with and asked them to help me out.”
The album features guest appearances by luminaries such as Emily Saliers (Indigo Girls), Lucy Wainwright Roche, Sarah Bettens (K's Choice), Dorris Muramatsu (Girlyman), Chris Trapper (Push Stars) and AFT's Sean Kelly.

MPress Releases Rachael Sage's New Socially Conscious EP
All Net Proceeds To Benefit American Refugee Committee
MPress Records announces the release of award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and activist Rachael Sage's new EP of protest songs, The Tide. The 5-track digital EP adds Sage's voice and music to the current worldwide protests and public demonstrations, seeking justice for all in a turbulent sociopolitical landscape. All net proceeds will be donated to ArcRelief.org (American Refugee Committee), one of the world's leading international refugee assistance organizations.
Fresh off the heels of a lengthy tour of both the US and Europe supporting her 2016 full-length album Choreographic, Sage returns to her folk roots with this collection of timely protest songs. The Tide began with a desire to find universal threads of compassion in response to tragedy. The release includes topical subject matter related to the Orlando shooting, Elie Wiesel’s passing, the Syrian refugee crisis and the controversial 2016 US Presidential election. Sage states:
“Like so many of my artist peers, each of these intense and often overwhelming situations sparked so many emotions and crystallized my need to respond musically in a more traditional, folk-driven way. At their essence, these are protest songs I wish I hadn’t had to write.”

Rachael Sage To Join Beth Hart Tour February/March 2017
Dynamic Female Artists Team Up For U.S Tour
Rachael Sage will support Grammy-nominated blues rocker Beth Hart on her upcoming U.S. album release tour during February and March 2017.
An adventurous pairing, both of these strong and passionate artists will perform their own soulful brand of music while remaining true to their roots. NYC-based Sage has released 12 albums of eclectic originals on her own label, MPress Records, and will join Hart for just over a dozen dates beginning in Atlanta, Georgia and ending in Kent, Ohio.
While she is most known for what The Village Voice descibes as "lovely and literate folk-pop-rock", Sage also has a musical and personal connection to the blues, which includes her close friend John Lee Hooker. Read more about it HERE.
For Sage it will be a particular thrill to share the stage with Hart, whose powerful voice she first discovered via the Off-Broadway show Love, Janis. She reveals, "I was absolutely blown away by her presence and her incredibly passionate vocals. From that point forward I've followed her career with enormous respect.

Rachael Sage To Support Howard Jones On Spring 2017 Tour
Rachael Sage will be joining iconic synth-pop pioneer Howard Jones on the U.K. leg of his 2017 Spring Tour.
Sage has often named Jones as one of her most beloved artists and a seminal influence on her songwriting, and while she has rarely covered other artists' music, she used to perform his songs including 'No One Is To Blame' at her regular solo piano gig while attending Stanford University.
"It will be a huge honor to share the stage with one of my all-time favorite artists and I can't wait to meet him in person!" she enthuses.
Sage's current album, Choreographic, was released in the U.S. this past May and will be out in the U.K//Europe on November 18th via ILS/Universal/Caroline. She describes it as a "love-letter to dance" and the collection was inspired by her own relationship to ballet, which she studied for many years before shifting full-time to music.

A Fragile Tomorrow Wins Best Cover Song At The Independent Music Awards
'One Way Ticket' Recorded w/Joan Baez, Indigo Girls
A Fragile Tomorrow took home the ‘Best Cover Song’ award at the 15th annual Independent Music Awards on Saturday, November 12.
The Charleston, SC natives’ version of the song ‘One Way Ticket’ was recorded with the legendary folkstress Joan Baez, along with Indigo Girls’ Amy Ray and Emily Saliers on mandolin and banjo.
“I’m always reminded how refreshing it is to be around AFT,” Emily Sailer told Consequence of Sound.“These guys love the true beauty of music, and it shines through in projects like this community rendition of ‘One Way Ticket.'” Amy Ray concluded that “…‘One Way Ticket’ was a cross-generational psychedelic experience with [a] band that I look to for inspiration and evolution.”
Baez agreed, adding “Recording this song with A Fragile Tomorrow was a delightful way to honor and carry on Richard and Mimi’s musical legacy.”
The song appears as a bonus track on A Fragile Tomorrow’s critically acclaimed 2015 album, Make Me Over, a bold exploration into the realms of layered, sophisticated, hauntingly gorgeous power-pop.

Rachael Sage Releases Animated Lyric Video For "Loreena"
Award-winning recording artist Rachael Sage is proud to debut this moving lyric video for her song "Loreena". The animated film was crafted by Honolulu based visual artist Dan Paul Roberts and his protégé, Jazmine Uyehara. This is the first lyric video from Sage's new album, Choreographic, which was released May 20th. The audio for "Loreena" originally premiered on Curve Magazine.
Inspired by the dance theme of Sage's new album, video creators Dan Paul and Jazmine pieced together a storyline drawn from the lyrics of the song. After that, Dan Paul worked on the storyboards while Jazmine oversaw character design and thematic development. The both created the finished illustrations.
