Rachael Sage Honored With Two OUTMusic Awards

The 2009 OUTMusic Awards were held in a packed Webster Hall in New York City on the evening of December 8th, and Rachael Sage walked away with two trophies: Outstanding Producer (for “Vertigo”) and Outstanding Songwriter (for “Chandelier”). She also performed her nominated song “Too Many Women”. The ceremony was taped for broadcast on LOGO at a future date (to be announced). Congratulations to Rachael, and to all the award winners and nominees!

Wednesday December 23rd Rachael returns to Joe’s Pub for a special holiday edition of her latest musical mishugas, “Sequins & Shpiel!” (which debuted earlier this year at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to rave reviews). An upbeat evening of vaudevillian shtick, playful Yiddishkeit, tall tales, pianistic flair and written-on-the-spot, topical compositions. “Tchatchkes & Latkes!” will also feature several special guests including cellist Dave Eggar (Coldplay, The Who) and YouTube singing sensation Michelle Citrin (“Rosh Hashanah Girl”, “Pass The Candle”). Rachael Sage is heading back to the UK this month as part of a special promotional tour for "Too Many Women", from "FAME". In addition to making TV and radio appearances throughout the UK, she'll be performing a handful of shows in London, Cambridge, Brighton, Glasgow & Edinburgh. Rachael Sage has been added to the support slot for Grammy Winner Marc Cohn’s show this Saturday 10/3 at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, WI. This is truly a dream come true for Rachael, who has admired Marc’s music and career since she first heard him as a teenager in Ireland. While working at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, Sage heard Marc perform at a local music festival, where he blew her - and many thousands of listeners - away with his instant classic, "Walking In Memphis".
