Now Accepting Submissions for "New Arrivals: Vol. 4"

MPress Records is accepting new submissions for "New Arrivals: Vol. 4" from now through June 15th. New Arrivals is a charity compilation project aimed at increasing exposure for exceptional independent material. 100% of proceeds from "Vol. 4" will benefit National Network for Youth, whose mission is to connect and champion the needs of runaway, homeless and other disconnected youth. Each volume also includes a Bonus Track by a more established independent artist (prior headliners have included Jill Sobule, Glen Philips and Melissa Ferrick). MPressFest @ SXSW 2009

SXSW is approaching and we’ve finalized the line-up for MPressFest 2009! On Saturday March 21st come and enjoy the music of Seth Glier, Katie Costello, Gregory Douglass, Rachael Sage, Melissa Ferrick, Amy Speace and Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles at SOHO Lounge (217 E. 6th St.) in Austin, TX. The MPress Room At Folk Alliance!

Once again, MPress Records is pleased to be hosting a guerrilla showcase room at the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, TN.  From Wednesday, February 18 through Saturday, February 21, we will present a wealth of diverse talent in Room 1911, including several performances by Katie Costello, Seth Glier, and Rachael Sage.  If you are attending the conference, please plan to come by -- and also visit us in the Exhibit Hall at booth # 63.

Great news on the MPress front! AIMS (Alliance of Independent Media Stores) will be featuring New Arrivals: Vol. 3 in their listening stations nationwide for the month of February. MPress at MIDEM 2009

MPress Records will be attending MIDEM once again in January!  We will be seeking licensing opportunities for select catalog in European, Asian and Canadian territories, as well as Film/TV, Mobile Media placement and international touring opportunities for Rachael Sage.  Interested parties please contact JoJo Gentry to set up a meeting.

Rachael Sage & The Sequins Official CMJ Showcase

You’re invited to Rachael Sage & The Sequins’ official CMJ Showcase this Friday night, October 24th at midnight at Kenny’s Castaways, 157 Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village.  This is the last full-band performance of the year in NYC.  Admission is free for CMJ badgeholders, and just $5 for the general public (be sure to tell them at the door you’re there to see Rachael).

Wednesday October 22nd MPress Records presents: MPRESSFEST @ CMJ ‘08! An evening of unrivaled music, and even free drinks for official CMJ badge holders. The event will feature artists from the “New Arrivals” series including Rachael Sage, Joy Askew, Todd Carey, Theo Eastwind and Tiff Randol. Are you in NYC? If so, we encourage you to head over to the Virgin Megastore in Times Square or Union Square starting October 15th to pick up a copy of "New Arrivals: Vol. 3" Artists Against Eating Disorders Awareness. The official release date is Oct. 28th so if you pick it up at Virgin you'll get it two weeks before everyone else!
