MPress Records & BLURT Magazine present: Seth Glier's

Seth Glier

MPress Records has teamed up with BLURT Magazine to premiere the official music video for the title track off of singer-songwriter and 2011 Independent Music Award Winner Seth Glier's critically acclaimed "The Next Right Thing".

Watch the premiere on BLURT Magazine now!

Directed by Zack Sweeney in the streets and subways of NYC, the video emulates the theme of the song with its organic feel and speaks to the simple yet powerful message in the song, which Culture Mob says "immediately resonates with its very present percussion and soulful, incendiary vocals. The song paves the way for the overarching theme of the album- doing the next right thing- thinking outside of yourself to change the world for the better despite life’s constant challenges."

BLURT recently ran a fantastic review of the record release on MPress Records in January 2011. They gave the album 7 stars and raved "...this material sounds like nothing if not classics in waiting...its the essence of perfection". Read the entire glowing review here.

MPress Records Signs Melissa Ferrick To Multi-Album Deal

New York, NY - New York City-based MPress Records has just inked a three-album deal with indie-maverick (and major label veteran) Melissa Ferrick. MPress, which internationally distributes albums by art-pop songstress Rachael Sage and award-winning songwriter Seth Glier, also produces the NEW ARRIVALS charity compilation series, and has presented artist showcases at such industry events as SXSW, CMJ & MIDEM.

Ferrick, an accomplished singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has shared stages with artists as wide-ranging as Bob Dylan, Paul Westerberg, Weezer and Ani DiFranco, performs over 150 shows a year - often for audiences of 7500 or more. Her extraordinarily passionate, grassroots fan base began when she opened for Morrissey in 1991, and has grown into one of the most loyal followings in recent indie memory.

MPress Records Artist Seth Glier Shapes Thoughtful Sophomore CD

    Seth Glier

Seth Glier's "The Next Right Thing" to be released Jan 11, 2011

Singer Seth Glier sculpts songs that seek to create an emotional connection, even as his dreams of a fragile Utopia remain unrealized, on his impressive sophomore CD, 'The Next Right Thing'.

The 21-year old phenom's distinctive falsetto has lead critics to praise him as having "the vocal prowess of a perfomer with a lifetime of singing experience" and as a "huge musical talent." College Music Journal (CMJ) describes Glier's music as "perfect vocals paired with immense instrumental talent on piano..." The upcoming CD, his second on MPress Records, lives up to the hype. The album draws inspiration from unlikely sources - from Michael J. Fox to organized religion, from a loved one's dementia, to witnessing a friend's shallow embrace of fame - all the while, the songs reflect Glier's maturity as a writer and his staunch idealism.
