Rachael Sage Explores Cultural Heritage & Identity On New Album 'Delancey Street'

'Delancey Street' is the ninth album by NYC songstress Rachael Sage.
She describes it as an "album about change," creatively inspired in
various ways by Sage's ancestral and current home, New York's Lower
East Side. Featuring an array of musicians including her touring band,
The Sequins: Quinn (Tracy Chapman, Jesca Hoop), Dave Eggar
(Evanescense, Coldplay) and Russ Johnson (Elvis Costello), as well as
as Everett Bradley (Hall & Oates), Jack Petruzelli (Rufus
Wainwright) and Will Lee (the Fab Faux), with special appearances by
MPress labelmate Seth Glier.

"Frost" Featured on MTV's Taking The Stage

MTV's show Taking The Stage features Rachael's song "Frost" in their season premier episode, currently airing. The reality show - shot at Cincinnati's School for Creative and Performing Arts - shows dancer Emily Silber auditioning for the prestigious school, with Rachael's ballad as her dance accompaniment. Rachael Sage Honored With Two OUTMusic Awards

The 2009 OUTMusic Awards were held in a packed Webster Hall in New York City on the evening of December 8th, and Rachael Sage walked away with two trophies: Outstanding Producer (for “Vertigo”) and Outstanding Songwriter (for “Chandelier”). She also performed her nominated song “Too Many
Women”. The ceremony was taped for broadcast on LOGO at a
future date (to be announced). Congratulations to Rachael, and to all the award
winners and nominees!

Wednesday December 23rd Rachael returns to Joe’s Pub for a special holiday edition
of her latest musical mishugas, “Sequins & Shpiel!” (which debuted
earlier this year at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to rave reviews). An
upbeat evening of vaudevillian shtick, playful Yiddishkeit, tall tales,
pianistic flair and written-on-the-spot, topical compositions.
“Tchatchkes & Latkes!” will also feature several special guests
including cellist Dave Eggar (Coldplay, The Who) and YouTube singing
