With Award-Winning Artist Matt Nakoa
New York, NY: Grammy®-nominated singer, songwriter, and musician Seth Glier will perform at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center on April 22 in Old Saybrook.
Kerrville Folk Festival winner Matt Nakoa
opens the show.
"If any of you are wondering what the future of music will look like...Seth is it"
Seth Glier is an artist in the truest sense of the word. Having performed and recorded with some of the world's largest music stars (James Taylor, Emmylou Harris, Ryan Adams, Ani DiFranco), his songs embody the timeless, warm intimacy of the great troubadours infused with a modern, indie-pop sophistication. Glier is well known for his passionate live sets and powerful command of both piano and guitar, accompanied by the incomparable Joe Nerney on harmonica and saxophone.
Building upon the acclaim of his Grammy®-nominated sophomore album The Next Right Thing, Glier has steadily nurtured a large, loyal fanbase and garnered widespread industry
praise. From multiple Daytrotter sessions, two Independent Music Awards and even a White House performance, Glier's star power continues to rise. A high profile duet and video featuring American Idol alum Crystal Bowersox accompanied his last album in 2015, If I Could Change One Thing.
This year finds Glier gearing up to release his next offering, Birds, scheduled for Summer 2017. The album promises an exploration into edgier territory with exquisitley crafted songs that are as reflective of current world events as they are personal, searing insights into the heart and soul.
In addition to an always non-stop tour schedule, Glier is a tireless activist that has served as a spokesperson for ChildFund International, Rock The Vote, Autism Speaks, and has been a TEDx speaker.
Seth is available for in-person, phone or email interviews. Any press considerations are much appreciated.
