New York, NY: Four-time Independent Music Award-winner and multi-instrumentalist Rachael Sage will perform at Rockwood Music Hall on August 13. Sage will be accompanied by her trio, The Sequins, featuring Ward Williams on cello (Sara Bareilles) and Andy Mac on drums (Deni Bonet). The show is a FREE EVENT in support of Sage's latest release, The Tide. All proceeds from The Tide will be donated to the world's leading global refugee charity, ArcRelief.org (American Refugee Committee).
The NYC-based singer, songwriter and producer returns from the UK after playing several large Pride festivals and club shows. Sage previously toured there this Spring with synth music pioneer Howard Jones in addition to having been tapped back in the US for a dozen dates with blues powerhouse Beth Hart.
Currently, Sage is touring behind both her newest EP, 2017's The Tide and her 2016 full-length album, Choreographic. The songs on The Tide mirror her thoughts about current worldwide events, human rights issues, and socio-political values. Watch her perform "The Tide" at Live At Sessions In The House HERE.
Choreographic is an album that pays tribute to Sage's first love - dance. The album has enjoyed much success in the international dance community, including being featured on Lifetime TV's #1 reality series, Dance Moms. The show has featured a record-breaking 20 of her songs over the past four seasons, including many used by teen celebrity star Maddie Ziegler (of Sia fame).
Sage has steadily built a large and loyal grassroots fan base with a rigorous international tour schedule, prompting Performing Songwriter Magazine to name her "One of the Top 100 Independent Artists Of The Past 15 Years."
Rachael is available for in-person, phone and email interviews. Any press considerations are much appreciated. If you wish to request a copy of The Tide or Choreographic for review, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
