MPress Artist & Tour News:
"Helpless" Get Radio Love in the UK & Ireland
"Helpless", from Rachael's new album "Blue Roses", was officially released to UK & Irish radio last week, and has already been getting quite a lot of support. Interviews with Judy and/or Rachael discussing their unique collaboration on the Neil Young classic have already run on BBC Radio Suffolk, & BBC Scotland's Culture Show with Jane Forsyth, and Ireland's RTE Radio 1.
Just last week, UK's beloved Clare Balding presented an in-studio live performance and interview with both Judy and Rachael, on her BBC Radio 2 Good Morning Sunday show. Watch an intro video of the appearance, check out a lovely photo gallery documenting the event and listen to the full interview and performance starting at the 01:30:00 mark.
In the US, the duet has also been climbing the Folk Chart, debuting at #29 - a first for Rachael! - and garnering spins on the Midnight Special, WFUV's Sunday Breakfast, and more.
Fresh from a European tour behind her latest album "Blue Roses", Rachael Sage returns to SubCulture with a Spring-themed show featuring original songs of Redemption, Freedom and Renewal from her 11-album catalog. Affectionately dubbed "The Jewish Norah Jones" by The New York Times, Sage merges her colorful, often campy onstage antics with lyrical sincerity and road-tested musical chops on both piano and guitar. Her NYC-based chamber-pop band The Sequins features some of the city's finest musicians including Andy Mac (drums) and Deni Bonet (violin), plus special surprise guests; award-winning songwriter Matt Nakoa opens the show!

The Huffington Post Premieres Rachael Sage & Judy Collins Video
Last month, The Huffington Post premiered the official video for "Helpless", directed and edited by award-winning filmmaker Nick Clark. Shot in the legendary Steinway Hall in Manhattan just days before it closed its doors permanently, the clip highlights Rachael and Judy's joyful energy and upbeat take on the classic Neil Young ballad, and was filmed in less than an hour, just after customers left the Hall and before staff politely closed up shop for the evening.

Rachael Lands Two More Placements in Lifetime's "Dance Moms"
Last year, Rachael racked up ten placements in season 4 of the series, which sparked her catalog release, "Dance Competition Collection Vol. 1" (including the 10 songs that appeared on Lifetime's "Dance Moms"), available now.
"Dance Moms" season 5 features Rachael's music in two episodes so far, including "Among All God's Creatures" from 2001's Painting Of A Painting, which aired on Feb. 3, 2015 to 1.5 million viewers and "Vertigo" from 2008's Chandelier, which aired on Mar. 10, 2015 to 1.4 million viewers.
Rachael met up with the Dance Moms dancers in Ireland, while on their world tour. Here's a fun photo gallery of the serendipitous meet up that sparked a spontaneous serenade.
New Press For Blue Roses
More press coverage for Blue Roses has been coming through especially following her recent European Tour. In addition to the amazing appearances on BBC radio above there's this rave review from MOJO Magazine in which Rachael's songwriting is described as having "Billy Joel's gotham zing and brashness...spiked with neatly twisted takes on long-relationship dilemmas"!
