MPress Artist & Tour News:
"Coloring Book" Video Double Premieres
On July 8, Rachael's brand new video for "Coloring Book" debuted in NYC at Rockwood Music Hall. The U.S. version was premiered by Curve Magazine, and you can watch it now on YouTube! Directed by Nick Clark, the video features Rachael's original artwork and a delightful performance by young actress Mikaela Oppenheimer, along with music cameos by our friends Andy Mac & Matt Nakoa. Also, check out a special behind-the-scenes vlog to learn more about the making of the video.
Because you can never have too much of a good thing, an exclusive UK Version of the video will also be released later this month, with additional footage and artwork; stay tuned for updates!
In May Rachael was invited to appear at her alma mater, Stanford University, as part of TEDx Stanford. As a student at Stanford, Rachael composed music for the theater department (including original scores for "Macbeth", "The Duchess Of Malfi" and The Women's Performance Collective), while honing her songwriting at The Stanford Coffeehouse; so it was especially meaningful for her to perform again at her alma mater and share a bit of where her musical adventures have taken her since her college days.
Check out the video, also featuring violinist Kelly Halloran, where they performed "Featherwoman" and "Heaven (Is Grocery Clerk)".
This summer, Rachael & her amazing violinist Kelly Halloran joined star of stage and screen John Barrowman on a whirlwind UK tour, supporting almost a dozen shows at big, beautiful venues everywhere from Edinburgh to Cardiff to Cambridge. Along the way, fell in love with John & his incredible cast & crew, and made lots of new friends. Shortly thereafter, Rachael returned to England to perform at Pride In London. From there, she made her way to the beautiful countryside of Wales, where she performed at the Llandeilo Jazz Festival.
Check out the tour recap video, and a photo gallery on her Facebook Page, featuring some of their adventures... and make sure you're following Rachael on Twitter and Instagram to keep up with her travels in real-time!

On September 20th, Rachael will return to Terrace on the Park to lend her time and talent to the Aids Center of Queens County's Gifts of Love Auction, alongside actress and singer Melba Moore.
The Gifts of Love Auction/Luncheon has been the AIDS Center of Queens County's (ACQC) signature event for more than 25 years. Sage has been involved in previous years and looks forward to this year's event.
"I'm so honored to be supporting the AIDS Center of Queens County and the incredible work they're doing in their community. HIV/AIDS has long been a cause very close to my heart, especially as someone who grew up in the NYC dance and theater communities, where I first encountered the disease as it took the lives of many of my mentors, teachers and performers I admired. Since then, treatment has come so far and people are living longer, fuller lives well after diagnosis, thanks to the energies of organizations like ACQC and events like Gifts Of Love."
Details on this year's event can be found here and donations are welcome.
