and Lucy Kaplansky at
The Spire Center
Plymouth, MA - 3/3/17
New York, NY: Four-time Independent Music Award-winner and multi-instrumentalist Rachael Sage will join acclaimed singer-songwriter Lucy Kaplansky at the Spire Center for Performing Arts on March 3.
Sage recently released a new EP of protest songs, The Tide, which will be available both at the performance and digitally via iTunes. The 5-track collection adds her voice and music to the current worldwide protests and public demonstrations, seeking justice for all in a turbulent sociopolitical landscape. All net proceeds will be donated to ArcLife.org (American Refugee Committee), one of the world's leading international refugee assistance organizations.
The NYC-based singer, songwriter and producer returns to the US after a successful UK and European tour in support of her latest full-length album, Choreographic, a musically ambitious and emotionally accessible tribute to her very first love: dance.
Sage, who studied at The School of American Ballet in her teens, has been reaching an ever-widening audience via Lifetime TV's #1 reality series Dance Moms, which has featured 20 of her songs over the past four seasons - including many used by the show's breakout star Maddie Ziegler. Ziegler also shot to fame when she toured with and danced in several powerful music videos by pop artist Sia.
Known for her impressive musicianship, colorful stage banter and for personally connecting with her audiences, Sage has steadily built a loyal grassroots fan base with a rigorous international tour schedule, prompting Performing Songwriter Magazine to name her "One of the Top 100 Independent Artists Of The Past 15 Years."
During February and March, Sage is joining blues rocker Beth Hart's tour for East Coast dates and shortly afterwards heading to the UK for a Spring 2017 tour supporting synth-pop pioneer Howard Jones.
Rachael is available for in-person, phone or email interviews. Any press considerations are much appreciated. If you wish to attend the show for review, or request a copy of Choreographic, please email: email@example.com
