Sage Featured via Wall Street Journal Premiere with Judy Collins

New York, NY: As viewed by millions on YouTube, and following a remarkable year of ten song placements on Lifetime Television’s #1 reality series, “Dance Moms”, the music of perennial New York art-pop singer Rachael Sage will be released as a digital- only compilation album, ‘Dance Competition Collection Vol 1’. The MPress Records catalog release will include tracks culled from multiple albums within Sage’s discography – ten diverse songs that have been featured not only on TV but also utilized by dance companies across the United States during innumerable winning performance routines. Get a sampling of the songs, here.

The February 10th dance compilation release will coincide with Sage’s pre- Valentine’s Day concert, that same day, at Joe’s Pub in New York City. The local event will showcase Sage and her band The Sequins (featuring drummer Andy Mac and cellist Ward Williams,) as well as other guest performers (including violinist Deni Bonet of Cyndi Lauper fame). Sage’s ‘themed’ concerts in NYC have earned a reputation for deft, tongue-in- cheek irreverence, and have garnered featured placements via Time Out NY, Good Day NY (FOX-TV,) Huffington Post, Gay City News, NY Daily News, New York Magazine, and more. Advance tickets are available now.

Sage’s burgeoning relationship with the legendary Judy Collins was featured via this Wall Street Journal Exclusive Video interview and Song Premiere – a duet of Neil Young’s ‘Helpless’, filmed at the famed Steinway Hall in New York City, the day before its closing:

Spring tour dates are taking shape as well, including appearances with Collins, Shawn Colvin, a visit to SXSW and more. The itinerary follows:
