Rachael Sage NYC EP Release Party At SubCulture May 8

Award-winning songwriter debuts "New Destination" EP, offers free copies to attendees.

New York, NY: Prolific songstress Rachael Sage debuts at SubCulture on Thursday, May 8th at 7:30pm for the hometown celebration of her 11th release "New Destination", available worldwide on May 6. Sage will bring her unique brand of infectious melodies and poetic lyrics to the stage via her innovative keyboard playing and delicate guitar work. She'll be supported by stellar local band-mates: cellist Ward Williams (Brandi Carlile), violinist Kelly Halloran (G. Love), and drummer Andy Mac (Deni Bonet). Tickets are available now and all attendees will receive a free copy of the new EP.

Produced by Sage and Barb Morrison (Deborah Harry, Rufus Wainwright), "New Destination" features four brand new chamber-pop gems, and showcases her touring band The Sequins. The title track, which premiered in American Songwriter, is available for free download here. The EP is available now for pre-order.

“One part Elton John, one part Kate Bush” (UNCUT), Sage has had an illustrious career as an independent artist, praised by the likes of The Wall Street Journal, New York Times and MOJO. She has shared the stage with Eric Burdon, Ani DiFranco, Marc Cohn, Sarah McLachlan, Judy Collins and Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey). Her songs have appeared on MTV, HBO, the “Fame” soundtrack, and the current season of LifetimeTV’s #1 reality series, “Dance Moms." Sage has made a name for herself as one of the most active touring artists in indie music with her dynamic piano playing, delicate guitar work and soulful vocals. Billboard has said “her keen ironic sense of humor and quirky sense of the profound is what makes her special as a songwriter" and called her a “genuine talent.”
